James
Menelaus
Rush

James Menelaus Rush (26) is a filmmaker and photographer based out of Melbourne, Australia. He has had prior experience leading and facilitating personal development programs aimed at encouraging conversations around notions of self for youths. Having studied art history in Paris, where his strong appreciation for visual storytelling began to grow, James then went on to further his comprehension of the cinematic language at the London Film School. What currently interests him most about the medium of film is its unique ability to take an audience into the world (and worries) of quieter and more softly spoken minds. His work on the screen strives to meet audiences halfway - encouraging their participation, working off their involvement in the stories he aims to tell.

His debut short film 'Tadpoles' is currently on the festival circuit and been selected for competition in multiple Academy Award accredited festivals around the world.
